Aqua Fish Farm Narakkal - a place to visit in Kochi



If you are looking for a 'not-so-crowded' place to spend your weekend or for a full day picnic  in and around Kochi, Matsyafed  Aqua Fish Farm, Narakkal (Njrarakkal) is surely a better option.  Narakkal is situated in Vypin island of Ernakulam district. It is around 12 km away from High Court, Ernakulam.

MATSYAFED (Kerala State Co-operative Federation for Fisheries Development Ltd), is diversifying its activities by exploring the tourism potential of the organization. Aqua Tourism by Matsyafed, Narakkal have around 46 acres area of brackish water fish farm where one can enjoy the alluring scenes of brackish water fish farm and can enjoy fishing and eat delicious food.



They offers facilities for spending a day there, relaxing on hammocks, swings or benches on the bunds between shady coconut trees, meals with fish curry, and -boating, for only Rs.200/- The one day package starts from 10 a.m. with a welcome drink and ends at 6 p.m. You can visit the farm after 3  p.m. by paying Rs.50/-.






Narakkal Beach is at walkable distance..you can spend time there too..


If you are visiting the place with a big group, it is better to call and book in advance. It will be too hot during summer and better to visit the place morning itself. 



Entry Fee
Rs.200/- per head which includes welcome drink, meals with fish curry, fish fry, fish pickles and a cup of ice cream.Rs.50/- per head after 3 p.m.

Timing
9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

How to reach
From Ernakulam High Court Jn. It is around 12 kms. Take way to Goshree Bridge and after passing three bridges move right to the road that goes to Paravoor. After 8 kms, from Hospital Junction, take left and after passing 1 km, you will reach the farm (on left side).
